זִיז

זִיזII m. (= זוזו, v. זְוִי, זָוִית) an attachment, a projection from the door frame serving as a shed over the entrance, or a moulding projecting from a window sill serving as a bracket. Ohol. XIV, 1 (difference betw. our w. a. גיזרה, v. גְּזוּזְטְרָא). Ib. 4 ז׳ שהוא סובבוכ׳ a moulding which runs around the entire building (or room) and forms a part of the door frame.
